Gross domestic product in January-March 2019, according to the preliminary estimates, amounted more than 104 billion soms and increased by 5.3 percent compared to January-March 2018.
The volume of GDP in January March 2019 without enterprises on “Kumtor” developing amounted about 91 billion soms and increased by 1.4 percent.

The volume of industrial output amounted to more than 64 billion soms and compared to January-March 2018 increased by 14.2 percent due to the growth in production of metal ores (2.2 times), coal (by 29.5 percent), crude oil and natural gas (by 16.9 percent), base metals (by 40.1 percent), clothing (by 29.2 percent) and other non-metalic mineral products (by 9.3 percent).

Positive trends were recorded in agriculture, where the growth of volume was 1.8 percent, in construction by 3.1 percent and in wholesale and retail trade by 4.2 percent.
In March of this year compared with December of the previous year prices and tariffs for consumer goods and services in the country remained unchanged. At the same time, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.4 percent, tobacco products by 11.6 percent, prices fell for non-food products (by 1.2 percent), services (by 0.8 percent) and alcoholic beverages (by 0.1 percent).
In territorial terms, in March of this year compared with December of the previous year, the maximum increase in consumer prices and tariffs by 0.7 precent was recorded in the Chui and Naryn oblasts, which is due, in comparison with other regions, to a rise in prices for food products and soft drinks by 2.1 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively. Along with this, in January-March of the current year there was a decrease in consumer prices in Osh city (by 0.6 percent), Osh (by 0.5 percent) and Batken (by 0.1 percent) regions.
The foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to preliminary data, in January-February 2019 amounted to about 885 million US dollars and decreased by 11.1 percent in comparison with January-February 2018, at the same time export deliveries decreased by 0.3 percent, import - by 14.5 percent.
The volume of mutual trade of the republic with the member states of the EEU in January-February 2019 amounted to more than 306 million US dollars and in comparison with January-February 2018 decreased by 10.7 percent. At the same time, there was a decrease in both export (by 24.8 percent) and import (by 4.9 percent). The largest share of the republic’s mutual trade with the EAEU member states was in Russia (58.1 percent) and Kazakhstan (40.4 percent).
