The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has received financing in the amount of US$ 2.5 million from the World Bank toward the cost of the Implementation of the National Strategy for Development of Statistics Project (KGSTAT), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The KGSTAT project will support the implementation of the National Strategy for Development of Statistics (NSDS) focusing on: (i) improving the organization of statistics; (ii) strengthening technological capacity, information and communication technologies (ICT), and upgrading and expanding infrastructure; (iii) modernizing the production and dissemination of statistical data; and (iv)strengthening statistical intellectual capacity. The project plans to procure IT, Printing equipment and generator under the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures.   

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (2011 edition, revised in 2014), and is open to all eligible bidders  as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (2011 edition, revised in 2014),

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online.
