Mobile application tested in Osh city

In preparation for the Population and Housing Census of the Kyrgyz Republic 2020, from 18 to 27 November 2019, the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic is testing the mobile application for entering and processing data from the Population and Housing Census in electronic format in Osh city. This event is held with the financial support of UNFPA and the World Bank.

To test this application, 218 census personnel were selected for temporary positions, 5 coordinators of the Population and Housing Census, 23 control instructors and 190 copyists. Teachers, doctors and other employees of the state institutions are involved in this work. The census personnel had a five-day training, where they discussed data collection and processing methodology. Also, they had a practical training on working with the mobile application.

In order to learn more about the testing, staff members of the territorial bodies of the state statistics of Bishkek and Osh, Chui, Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Talas, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken oblasts were invited. After having a two-day training, staff members began teaching supervisor-instructors and enumerators.
