Third mission took place in the National Statistical Committee with the participation of Mr. Ian Whyte, an expert from the office of the United Nations Population Fund. The mission took place within the framework of the project "Kyrgyzstat: Strengthening State Statistics System of the Kyrgyz Republic in collecting, analysing and disseminating demographic data" on component 2: "Conducting Population and Housing Census 2020 in the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with international standards”.
During the first mission of the expert, a number of recommendations were made on the methods of conducting the population and housing census and on the possibilities of their implementation, the questionnaires containing the SDG indicators were discussed as well.
The second mission discussed the main results of the pilot population and housing census of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was conducted in March 2019 in Tokmok city and in July in Kum-Bel aiyl aimak. Recommendations were provided based on the results of the pilot project. In addition, issues concerning the forthcoming population and housing census of the Kyrgyz Republic 2020 were discussed as well.
The current mission discussed the content and design of electronic questionnaires, the results of mobile application testing on data input and processing conducted in November last year in Osh city. At the same time, special attention was given to the preparation, analysis and dissemination of the data that will be obtained from the forthcoming population and housing census in 2020.
