Kyrgyzstan is elected as the Chairman of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States

Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States decided that in 2019 the chairmanship in the Council will be carried out by the Kyrgyz Republic – Mr. Akylbek Sultanov, the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Co-Chairmen of the Council will be the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Chairman of the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The work program of the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee was reviewed and approved in 2019 at the regular 59th meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS countries in Yerevan, information on the International Conference «Experience and challenges in the measurement of income and wealth in the countries of Eastern Europe and CIS» in Moscow on September 17-18, 2019 was provided.

Also, the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States held a meeting in Armenia on agricultural statistics organized within the project "Development of agricultural and rural statistics in the CIS region".
