The victimisation survey was conducted by the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the Programme Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in the Kyrgyz Republic in the period from November to December 2018. The study was conducted on the basis of individual interviews with citizens in Bishkek and pilot new buildings using specially designed questionnaires. Field work was conducted by the Department of State Statistics in Bishkek. Bishkek.
The purpose of the study was to collect information related to the level and nature of crime, including indicators of gender-based violence, as well as the perception of residents of Bishkek and 10 pilot new buildings of the level of security in the community and their trust in law enforcement agencies.
